Bobby Gene Strickland, 69, passed away Tuesday November 6, 2018 at his home. He was born September 17, 1949 to James Chester and Maudie Murline Kelton Strickland.
He loved hunting, fishing and camping. He truly loved his two daughters-in-law that loved everything he and his family loved. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 he was saved and now he is in heaven rejoicing.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at McMillan Funeral Home with Pastor David Krecht officiating. Burial will be in Victory Baptist Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Strickland of Baldwyn; two sons, Robert Strickland (Teri) of Pontotoc and John Strickland (Brandy) of Greenwood Springs; two daughters, Jessica George of Baldwyn and Melissa Bowling (Alexander) of Baldwyn; one sister, Berniece Barnett of Guntown; five grandchildren, Reed Strickland, Logan Strickland, Katelyn Strickland, Tralee Strickland and Gavin Bowling and his best friends, Bennie and Carolyn Downs and Scotty and Kim Lindsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Donnie Strickland; mother-in-law, Ester Barns and father-in-law, Jessie Barns. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home.
