She was educated at East Depot Street High School in LaGrange, Georgia. She retired from West Point Pepperrell/Stevens; and later worked for Wal-Mart.
JoAnne was a faithful member of the Solomon Grove Baptist Church where she served as an usher and President of the Mother Board.
On September 16, 1963, JoAnne was united in Holy Matrimony to the late, William Henry Moore. To this union of forty-six years, three children were born.
JoAnne was admired by many as a very strong woman that never complained about any adversities that she faced. She always wore a very sweet smile that matched her warm personality and generous spirit.
On Thursday, June 28, 2018, the Lord called His child home at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to her parents, and her husband, William; she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lamar Moore.
Survivors include her two loving children, Gwendolyn Moore Burton and William Jerome (Felecia) Moore; daughter-in-law, Joyce Harris Moore; eight grandchildren: Jasmine Moore, Jordan Partridge, Christian Thurman, Rodaisha Holman, Niya Partridge, Jessica Moore, Whitney Moore, and Jameisha Holman; one great granddaughter, Jaylee McCullough; all of LaGrange, GA; one brother, Charlie Wheeler Williams, Battle Creek, MI; one brother-in-law, Melvin (Jean) Moore; two sisters-in-law, Evangelist Willie Mae Ferrell and Rosa (Willie, Jr.) Swanson; and a host of nieces and nephews,
The Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Solomon Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Crawford Strozier will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
