Andy was a graduate of Lafayette Central Catholic High School. He loved farming. He enjoyed making coffee at the Elevator for the guys and going to farm sales. He was a “John Deer Green” man who loved his family very much.
Those who will miss Andy include: his children, Marti (Steve) Oteham of Battle Ground, IN, Jan (Parrish) Slate of Lafayette, IN, and AJ (Kari) Hatke of Carmel, IN; his step-children, Ian (Lori) O’Brien of Delphi, IN & Nathan (Carmen) O’Brien of Lafayette, IN; his siblings, Anna May Hatke of Camden, IN, Betty Rohler of Lafayette, IN, Lou (Debbie) Hatke of Crawfordsville, IN, Gene (Rosanna) Hatke of Crawfordsville, IN, Chico (Laurie) Hatke of Lafayette, IN; his ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his good and long-time friend from National Auto Diesel College, Butch Klima & his wife, Luann.
A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 109 W 7th St, Georgetown, with Father Deus officiating. Visitation will be held 9:30am to 11:00am prior to his service on Tuesday at the Church with a Rosary Service to begin at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Sidell.
