Mr. Shockley was born Jan. 9, 1930, in San Angelo, Texas.
He was owner of Shockley Service Station and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shockley.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Shockley of DeKalb; four daughters, Lana Carlisle of Point, Texas, Pamela Garza of Terrell, Texas, Deborah Lane of Madisonville, Texas, and Vergie Cox of Mesquite, Texas; one son, Shelton Shockley of DeKalb; four sisters, Charlene Smith of Greenville, Texas, Bennie West of Whitesboro, Texas, Vivian Braswell of Scurry, Texas, and Glenda Graham of Mineola, Texas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Rankin officiating. Burial will be in Wards Creek Cemetery.
Relatives will be at the family home.
