Clifford "Cliff" Harry Byrd, age 73, of Casper, passed away February 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Clifford was born March 29, 1943 in Okanogan, Washington to Floyd and Martha (Hinshaw) Byrd. He attended school in Omak, Washington and graduated from Omak High School in 1961. Following graduation, Clifford attended Washington State University where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Kopf. In 1967, he graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agronomy. Clifford later married Mary Ann on August 24, 1968 at St. Galls Catholic Church in Colton, Washington. Following graduation, he went to work for USDA/Soil Conservation Service (now Natural Resource Conservation Service). During his career he worked in Mansfield, Davenport, Okanogan, Clarkston, and Ephrata, Washington and moved to Sundance, Wyoming in 1978 and finally to Casper in 1984. After 32 years of service, Clifford retired in 1999. Clifford's hobbies were hunting and "Fixing Things'', especially cars. One of his favorite sayings was "If man made it, then it will come apart and I can fix it." - and he could.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, son, Keith Byrd, and brother, Donald Byrd.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann Byrd; Sons, Phillip (Laurie) Byrd of Boise, Idaho; Gregory (Jenni) Byrd of Wichita, Kansas; Daughter, Karen (Mark) Wasinger, of Arvada, Colorado; sister, Vivian (Robert) Elvidge of Woodinville, Washington; grandchildren, Michael Byrd and Andrew Byrd, of Boise, Idaho; Maddie Byrd, Riley Byrd, Carson Byrd, and Carter Byrd of Wichita, Kansas; Isaac Wasinger and Annaka Wasinger, of Arvada, Colorado.
