Linda was a graduate of Union Grove High School and Statesville Business College. She was married to James E. Englebert in 1974 and they enjoyed over 25 years of marriage before his passing. Linda had worked for J.P. Stevens as the payroll clerk. She was a life long member of Grassy Knob Baptist Church. Linda always tended to others, starting early in life caring for her siblings and throughout her life caring for others. She was a loving sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Marsha E. McClelland and five brothers-in-law.
Left to cherish her memory are her step-son, Mark Englebert; sister, Helen White; brother, Chuck Williams (Martha); two nephews, Jimmy White (Rea) and Andy Williams (Cherie); great nephew, Zane Marshall White; brother-in-law, Howard Englebert; and two sisters-in-law, Betty and Edie Englebert.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Grassy Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Chenevey and Rev. Dwight Dowell officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
