Charles Arnold Klein was born in San Benito, Texas to Arnold Alfred and Charlotte Doris (Kientz) Klein on August 1, 1934 and passed away on November 7, 2018 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. His family was with him at his death. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas when he was 5 years old and attended Menger, Wynn Seale, Corpus Christi High School, W.B Ray High School and Del Mar College. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years and returned to Texas to start his industrial career working at Coastal States, Reynolds, Alcoa and Westinghouse Corp. During his 20 years with Westinghouse Corp., he traveled extensively working on jobs from the West Coast to the East Coast. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mathis, Texas and served as a Deacon and was a member of The Gideons International.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Klein. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Dovie Lee Hughes Klein; daughters Deborah Lynn (Robert) Sheffield of Portland, Texas, Claudia Kellene (John) Carradine of Dallas, Texas; son Charles (Chip) Jr. of Dallas, Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Klein; and nieces and nephews.
