A.E. "Sam" McCaskill, 88, of El Dorado, AR. passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Ella Manor Assisted Living in El Dorado.
Sam was born September 27, 1929 in Norphlet, AR to the union of Dan Kirk McCaskill and Lona Baker McCaskill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul McCaskill and Olen McCaskill and a sister Murieldene Langley.
Sam was retired from Lion Oil Company, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and the Union Masonic Lodge # 750 F and A.M.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen Davis McCaskill, three children, Linnie Dan McCaskill, Catherine "Cathy" M. Yarbrough and husband Danny, and Sammy McCaskill and wife Jennifer, six grandchildren, Shane McCaskill, Lacey Elton and husband Brandon, Danielle Y. Purvis and husband George, Lindsey Yarbrough, Christopher McCaskill and wife Monica and Drake McCaskill and wife Amanda, eight great grandchildren, Carter Brooks, Joshua McCaskill, Charli McCaskill, Micah McCaskill, Judah McCaskill Aubrey McCaskill, Halle McCaskill and Miles Purvis, one sister, Kay Hardy and husband Jerry.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Arlington Memorial Park with Kay Ruddell officiating. Services under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
