Mr. Snowden was graduated from Episcopal High School, Alexandria, Virginia, in 1975 and the University of Virginia in 1979 where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a Managing Director with Raymond James formerly Morgan Keegan for a period in addition to thirty-seven years.
Mr. Snowden was an accomplished athlete having distinguished himself in tennis and snow skiing, In addition he was an expert shot with a particular love for skeet shooting and hunting doves and ducks. What’s more he was an accomplished pistol shot. Mr. Snowden enjoyed summer vacations in Florida sailing and deep sea fishing with his father, son, and friends. With Mr. Snowden, family happiness was always first and utmost in his mind. Although he never played basketball, Mr. Snowden shared his son’s enthusiasm for the game. He often attended games to see his son play and take him to Memphis Grizzlies games.
Mr. Snowden had an affable personality, was loved by all who knew him, and will be sorely missed.
A brief committal service will be held Elmwood Cemetery at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, 9 November 2018.
