Larry R. Barrett, 76 of Caraway, Arkansas passed from this life on November 6, 2018 at the beautiful Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Larry was born to the late Chesley and Frankie Barrett on September 24, 1942 in Noblesville, Indiana. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caraway, Arkansas, where he had the honor of serving as a deacon for 38 years, and had the great privilege of teaching about our Lord and Savior to the Youth and Young Married classes for many of these years. Larry had a great love for the outdoors, his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and trapping. Larry lived the majority of his life in Caraway, he graduated from Caraway Hight School in 1961. He was a member of the Army National Guard. Larry had a career in route sales which he retired from in 1997.

Survivors include; his loving and devoted wife of 51 years: Patsy Hollis Barrett; one daughter: Tonya (Len) Nall of Lake City; one precious granddaughter: DeLaney Nall; one sister: Janice Moxley of Caraway; two brothers: Jerry (Rosita) Barrett of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and Gary Barrett of Caraway; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; one son: Barry Barrett; one brother: Robert (Sonny) Barrett; and one sister: Sandra Bourland.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caraway with Bro. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers: John Stames, Fred Morgan, Robert Adcock, Roger Adcock, Larry Mason, Curtis Taylor, and Gary Jeffers. Honorary pallbearers: members of the First Baptist Church.

For lasting memorials, the family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Caraway, Arkansas or the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
