Megan Elizabeth Gray, 19, of Vivian, SD (and formerly of Rapid City, SD) suddenly and instantly left this world and went to be in the arms of Jesus in Heaven for eternity on April 7, 2007, northeast of Draper, SD due to an auto accident.

Megan was born into this world on July 24, 1987 in Rapid City to Lynn and Cindy (Jensen) Gray. Megan spent most of her childhood in the Rapid City area attending Knollwood Elementary, Douglas Middle School, Douglas high school & Rapid City Christian High School.

It was evident early in Megan's childhood that she was a special gift of God. At the age of 3 Megan asked Jesus into her heart as Lord in an evening service at Valley Open Bible near Piedmont. Megan had a God given gift to capture people's hearts. Early on her love of music and singing became evident as she would continually ask her dad to sing and play "Jesus Loves Me" on horse back rides in the hills she would sing praise songs with her dad and who ever else would sing with her.

Another love of Megan's was Rodeo Bible Camp. She grew up at camp, as her parents were very active in Camp and the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys. Megan had a heart for young people to know her "Jesus" and encouraged many many campers through the years at Camp. She also LIVED to make camp fun.
Her years in school were filled with numerous accomplishments but Megan was very focused and if you wanted to see her bow; tell her she couldn't do something because she was a "girl"! Band, choir, volleyball, track and academics were activities that kept her busy achieving. Springtime always brought the Rodeo bug back again. 4-H & High School Rodeos took a lot of the summer weekends. As High School drew to an end and achievements made, new goals faced her with college and her future. Megan wanted to be a Volleyball coach. She wanted to help and encourage the girls that didn't have the perfect figure or looks that God loved them just the way they were and they could do anything they put their mind to with Jesus on their team.

Megan attended Central Christian College in 2005/2006 school year with several scholarships including a volleyball scholarship. God's calling changed a little and being closer to home was meant to be so in 2006/2007, Megan went to Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. Megan was so excited since arriving and felt the Holy Spirit present in a special way. Along with Trinity, God called Megan into the ND National Guard as a Chaplains assistant. Megan signed in December of 2006 and was able to go to monthly drills in January, February and March. Megan received "Soldier of the Month" for the month of January, her first drill. Megan was so excited about being a soldier and felt led to share the Gospel with other soldiers. She would have made a great assistant.

She is survived by her parents, Lynn and Cindy Gray of Vivian, SD, her sister, Tiffany Swanson and her husband Jerod and their daughter Cadence of Valentine, NE, her brother, Mathew Gray and his girl friend Randi McQuistion of Albion, NE, and her grandfather, Ronald Jensen and his special friend Rita Grabowska of Rapid City, aunts Robin Stevens and her husband Ron of Rapid City, and their children, Jaime and Emily; Dawn Heenan and her husband Bob of Rapid City and children, Katie, Clayton and Terri; her uncles, Kelly Jensen and his wife Lana of Rapid City and their son Kyle, Shawn Jensen and his fiancé Sarah Wetzler of Rapid City, her special friend Josiah Koop of New Mexico and her adopted grandfather, Bill Hough of Rapid City.

Megan was full of life, full of the Lord and served him every day. The world has lost a great warrior for Christ and Heaven has gained a perfect, pure, bride.
