Growing up, Shawn was a talented athlete who played midget football with the East Side Mustangs and baseball for various teams in the Butler Bantam and Pony leagues.
He was an avid Steeler fan and loved fishing, the outdoors and playing golf.
Shawn very much enjoyed being with his family.
Surviving are his mother and father; a sister, a brother, his paternal grandmother, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, and an aunt and uncle.
A memorial service will be held at Young Funeral Home Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., with the Rev. Monica C. Hamilton officiating.
Interment will be private.
