Robert W. Thatcher, 89, of Superior, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth. He was born in Webb Lake, WI, on May 12, 1929, the son of Maurice and Ella Thatcher.

Bob served honorably with the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a milk man for Arrowhead Dairy before owning and operating Thatcher's Service Station since 1963.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and playing cards. He also played basketball, enjoyed square dancing and driving his Astro Van. He loved being at his lake home in Lake Nebagamon. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob was a member of the local VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge, and Civil Air Patrol.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy Thatcher; and several furry friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kay; children: Lynn (George) Lehman, Ralph (Kathy) Thatcher, Debbie (Butch) Tendrup, Jay Thatcher, and Dawn (Ed) Anderson; grandchildren: Dr. Vance (Dr. Julia) Lehman, Bryce (Julie) Lehman, Luke (Amber) Thatcher, Dr. Lisa (JG) Lantigua, Hans (Sarah) Tendrup, and Martina (John McCormick) Tendrup, Colton (Teri Thompson) Thatcher, Carly Thatcher, Erick Anderson, and Nick Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers: Bill 'Floyd' Thatcher and Jean Thatcher.
