Dennis James Chapman, 58, of Saucier, MS passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. Dennis was raised in Perkinston, MS and was a long-time resident of Saucier MS. He worked alongside Mike and Ken Compton for 34 years doing air conditioning work, and rarely missed a day of work. He was a hard worker, as well as a loving husband, father and grandfather (Pop). Dennis always enjoyed get togethers with the family, and loved picking and joking around with his sister in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was the crawfish boiler, griller, and smoker at all the get togethers as well. He loved his daughters, and they could talk their dad into doing almost anything, including going with them to Mardi-Gras parades, flea markets, ball games and whatever mischief they could get into. There was never a dull moment when Dennis was around, and he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Helen Muffler, Fritz Muffler, and Wallace Jennings Chapman; sister Helen Chapman; a sister in law, Robin Henderson; and brother in laws, Leroy Brown and Chuck Dawson.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening, March 6th, from 6 until 9 PM, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. A chapel funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning, with interment to follow at Saucier Cemetery. Trinity is honored to serve the Chapman family, and asks that you keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
