Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at White Rock Cemetery in Ross, with Pastor Lynn Parks officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
Judy was born January 17, 1949 in DeSoto, the daughter of Curtis and Opal (Becknell) Clark. She was a graduate of West High School and worked for Spenco Medical Corporation for 25 years before her retirement. After her retirement, she worked for Visiting Angels as a way to help and serve others. She was previously a long-time member of Greater Waco Baptist Church where she was very active and served as a Sunday School teacher. Judy was a present member of Searsville Baptist Church in Valley Mills.
She enjoyed the outdoors tending to her plants, hymns, country music, dancing, and watching sports. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt. She especially loved being with family and her church.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Don Shipp.
Survivors include her children, Gary Powell and wife Kitty of Valley Mills, and Teri Lane and husband Timothy of South Houston; the father of her children, Ronnie Powell and wife Gean of Lacy Lakeview; a sister, Jan Dyer; granddaughters, Jessica Chrisman, Shauna Hufstedler and husband Ryan, Ashley Chrisman and fiancee Eathan Thayer; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hufstedler; other relatives and many friends.
