Betty Vera Dodson, 93, Queen, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Merritt and Laverda (Strayer) Knisely, and was raised in Henrietta.
She was twice married, first to James B. Knisely, who passed away Jan. 21, 1967. On Nov. 27, 1971, she married Richard L. Dodson.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years; a son, James Knisely and wife, Carol, of Fairfield; three grandchildren; and a sister, Flo Zupon of Queen.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth; a sister, Cleta; and an adopted sister, Carol Zerby.
Betty was a homemaker and was previously employed at Sylvania. She was a member of the Queen Gospel Hall.
She enjoyed flowers and serving the Lord.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
March 7, 2018, at the funeral home, Mr. Bob Harris officiating. Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park.
