Patrick Cunningham passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and loyal friends, George and Nancy Jo Hill. Patrick was the President and owner of Cunningham Construction Inc. for 50 years. Patrick took great pride in spending time with grandchildren and spoiling them with many trips to the Toy House. He retired in 2003 and enjoyed all things football especially Michigan Football and the Lumen Christi Titans, as well as traveling, playing poker and visiting with friends and family.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 58 years; children, Mary (Gerald) DeLuca, Carol Keen, Maureen (John) Small and Kip (Laurie) Cunningham; grandchildren, Brittney ( Raj) Daftuar, Sarah DeLuca, Peter Keen, Katie Keen, Patrick Keen, Aaron Small, Anna Small, Rachel Cunningham, and Ryan Cunningham.

Patrick was a proud graduate of St. Mary's High School class of 1951 and The University of Detroit class of 1955. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army for 2 years and attended Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.

Patrick was a lifelong supporter of Catholic education and an active member in the Jackson community. He was a member of Queen's Parish, St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish, Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Legatus International for 25 years, Knights of Columbus, Jackson Area Catholic School Board, The Country Club of Jackson, AGC Board of Directors, where he was Past President of AGC of Michigan, LCHS Foundation Board, and Foundation for Employee Benefits Trustee. He was also a member of Construction Hall of Fame at Ferris State University.

Special thank you to Dr. John Lake and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, Summit Township Fire Department, and the Jackson Community Ambulance. Also a very special thank you to all the special friends and family that made the last year of Pat's life so happy.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. Fr. Timothy MacDonald and Fr. Tim Nelson will be officiating. Interment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, August 9 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Lingap Children's Foundation, Marlene and Patrick Cunningham Scholarship fund Lumen Christi High School, St. Mary's Star of the Sea Window Fund, Queen's Church, or to the St. Louis Center.
