Hamilton – Howard “Reese” Hamilton, age 67, of Florahome, Florida passed away November 4, 2018 at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville with his loving family by his side. He was born October 14, 1951 in Fort Myers, Florida to the late John Dexter “J.D.” Hamilton and Virginia Lee Rhoden Hamilton. Reese graduated from Everglades High School in 1970. He was then drafted into the United States Army where he honorably served his country. After his service time was complete, he went back to commercial fishing and later became a Journeyman Electrician and traveled all over the Eastern United States. On March 11, 1996 he married the love of his life, Teena Wilson in Daytona Beach, Florida during Bike Week. Reese enjoyed being outdoors on his golf cart, boating and riding his motorcycle. He loved the Lord with all his heart and knew his Bible well. Reese is predeceased by his parents; and nephew, Wendell Wooten
Reese is survived by his loving wife, Teena Hamilton of Florahome, FL; children, Brian Hamilton of Niceville, FL, Kris (Laura) Hamilton of Starke, FL, Sean (Haley) Hamilton of Lake Placid, FL, and Kimberly (Jason) Bradford of Palatka, FL; sister, Janice Masey and his niece, Tina Marie (Casey) Hickok both of Copeland, FL; numerous grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Reese’s Life will be on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Scott officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, Florida where military honors will be rendered.
