PEGGY JEAN BELCHER, 74, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Altizer Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park. She was born May 16, 1935, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Charles William and Lillian V. "Tag" Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Belcher. She was retired as a cafeteria worker for INCO Alloys. She was a member of the Altizer Freewill Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Post 9738. She is survived by two sons, William Charles "Chuck" Belcher of Melbourne, Fla., and Richard "Rich" Belcher and his wife Tammy of Apple Grove, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Chris, Bryan and Brittany Belcher; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard "Dick" and Yvonne Crawford of Huntington; a sister-in-law, Betty (Roger) Burcham; a brother-in-law, Jack Howard; several nieces and nephews, including her nephews Richard and Keith Crawford; a special cousin and caregiver, Joyce Knight; friend Priscilla Ferguson and a host of additional friends. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to the Altizer Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
