Ronald R. “Bud” Parks, 96, longtime Trout Lake area resident, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids. He was born July 17, 1922 in Osage Township, Becker County, Minnesota, the son of Dennis and Emma (George) Parks.

Ronald and Gilda Mears were married on February 7, 1945 in Park Rapids, MN. Since 1950, Ron had been a resident of the Calumet, Marble, Pengilly, and Trout Lake areas until moving to Grand Rapids following Gilda’s death. Bud had been a truck driver for Hanna Mining Company for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gilda in 2009; sons, Leo and Robert; and brothers and sisters

Survivors include his son, Lester (Peggy) Parks; daughter-in-law, Madeline (Leo) Parks; grandchildren: Troy, Chris, Chad, Ryan, Angela, and Ray Allen Parks, and Christy Lynn Doyea; several great grandchildren; and a nephew, Gary (Barbara) Warren.

Interment will be in the Trout Lake Lakeside Cemetery.
