Audrey M. (Melbourne) Lewis, 81, of Plainville passed away on Friday November 2, 2018 at the Atrium of Rocky Hill.
She was the loving wife of the late George N. Lewis.
Audrey and George were married on August 4, 1956.
Audrey was born February 26, 1937 in North Haven, a daughter of the late James Westcott Melbourne and Sara Dorothy (Harvey) Melbourne and was a longtime Plainville resident.

She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven and attended Central Connecticut State University. Audrey had worked as a programmer for Aetna Insurance, retiring after many years of service.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Frederica Chapter #110 of Plainville as well as the Plainville Choral Society. Audrey enjoyed arts and crafts, needlepoint and was an avid card player, who excelled at Bridge.
Audrey was a longtime and active member of the Congregational Church of Plainville, U.C.C.

Audrey leaves her sons, Craig H. Lewis of Bristol and Dwight N. Lewis of Burlington, her brother, James Westcott Melbourne, Jr. of Florida and her grandchildren, Christine Lynn Lewis, Melissa Sue Lewis, Steven Donald Lewis and Caitlin Rose Lewis.

A memorial service in celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at the Congregational Church of Plainville, U.C.C. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Woodbridge.
