He was the son of the late Archie G. and Sarah Harris Jones; and was also predeceased by a brother, Ned Jones.
BoBo is survived by two sisters, Mary J. Robinson of Powhatan and Betty J. Grant of Blackstone; a niece, Mandy Grant; and three nephews, Michael Grant, John Robinson and James Robinson and their families.
In 1961, BoBo bought the Dairy Freeze in Blackstone with Bobby Daniels and in later years, took it over on his own. He operated the Dairy Freeze for 48 years, giving many area teenagers summer jobs. BoBo retired in 2007, selling the property to the town of Blackstone for the new James Harris Memorial Medical Center.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone, Va.
