Judy is survived by her husband, Bernard "Bernie" Meier; children, Sharon Ferron (Tim), Laura Brewer (Mike), Jeffrey Meier (Shawnda), and Douglas Meier (Lizabeth); sisters, Beverly Fryer and Patricia Kennedy; brother, Richard Bradfield; 9 grandchildren, Jason Waters (Traci), Emily Lundin (David), James Ferron (Hilary), Michael Brewer, Ryan Ferron, Nicholas Meier, Brian Meier, Matthew Meier, and John Meier.
One of Judy's greatest gifts was to create an atmosphere of love and a home where all were welcome to be part of the family. Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving and all birthdays were celebrated in her Hampton home. Over the years, she extended her immediate family to include Cory Lanning and Trish McGovern, Cheryl Stietenroth and Steve McFann, Scott Snyder and Francine Blend, and Robert Huber (Meleah).
Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 116 Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA.
