Ida Rosetta Roberts, age 89, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on March 12, 1929 in Portales, New Mexico to Thomas Martin and Dessie Mae (Singleterry) Dugger. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She married her best friend, Orvil Roberts on July 21, 1947, in Visalia, California and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2004.
Ida was a story teller and would tell jokes with her friends and family. She loved spending time with her family. She could also be found sewing, cooking, gardening, or canning jelly. She later in life found a love of painting. Ida also enjoyed crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles, playing skip-bo and solitaire. In her quiet time, she would listen to her hymns and sing along.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Rod Minor will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing her memory are her five daughters; VaDeena Roberts of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rhonda Speck and her husband Jerry of Elk City, Oklahoma, Dessie Parker and her husband Bob of Portland, Oregon, Robyn Fletcher of Moore, Oklahoma, Jill Alexander and husband Ric of Crowley, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight-great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
The family request memorial contributions be made to American Legion Post 181 or a charity of your choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma
