Theresa Irene Ford
NOVEMBER 22, 1959 ~ NOVEMBER 4, 2018 (AGE 58)

Theresa Irene Ford (Parcel), age 58, of Centerville, left us to be with The Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2018, while at her home.

Theresa Irene Ford was born on November 22nd 1959 to Richard Leon and Thelma Irene Parcel in Chicago, Illinois. Later the family moved to the Centerville area which is where Theresa was raised. Theresa attended Centerville High School and also attended Indian Hills Community College.

Theresa raised 3 children of her own, a daughter, Angela Cyrena Crosson, and 2 sons, Gregory Allen Jones and Matthew Dale Jones. Theresa prided herself in taking care of the whole neighborhood, and was fondly known by many as Aunt Thre. Theresa earned a living doing in home health care in the Appanoose County Area.

Theresa loved people and loved life. She had a joyful kind spirit. She would try new things easily, and always made tons of friends where ever she went, rather it was in Anchorage, Alaska, the local Amish store with her husband, or at yard sales. She loved spending time with friends, even if it was just sitting around doing nothing more than playing pool or listening to music.

Her hobbies included camping, writing (her penmanship was like calligraphy), ceramics, coloring velvet posters, swimming, singing and dancing, gardening, planting and picking flowers, and cooking. The thing that Theresa was most passionate about though, was family. She loved spending time with her parents, siblings, kids and grandkids, as well as extended family. A family BBQ or a day at the lake would have been a perfect day in Theresa eyes. She would often be the person that would swim half way across the lake to get a floaty for a kid that the wind had blown away. She loved helping people and She loved her family more than life itself.

Left to cherish Theresa’s memory are her father, Richard Parcel of Wilton, IA; her three children, Angela Crosson of Centerville, IA, Gregory Jones of Arkansas, and Matthew (Christina) Jones of Davenport, IA; two brothers, Larry (Linda) Wireman of Centerville, IA and Robert Wireman of Cincinnati, IA; two sisters, Debbie (Larry) Atkinson of Cincinnati, IA and Tammy (Fernado) Cadena of Wilton, IA; as well as 19 grandkids, three great grandkids and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Theresa was beloved by many and will be missed forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Parcel; her brothers, Kenny Wireman and Danny Parcel; her sister, Bonnie Barger; and her sister-in-law, Katy Wireman.

According to Theresa’s wishes, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program, for medical education and research purposes. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1PM at the Assembly of God Church in Centerville, with Pastor Brad Dittmer officiating. Lange Funeral Home and Crematory of Centerville has been entrusted with caring for Theresa Ford’s family. Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com.
