Husband to Clara (Conley) Poole, to whom he was married in Louisville on November 7, 1913. Clara later filed for divorce, but was listed as his widow in his death notice in THE COURIER-JOURNAL (Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, USA) on Wednesday, April 24, 1935, page 29. While the death notice listed his death occurring at home, it actually occurred at Central State Hospital, Lakeland, Jefferson County, Kentucky, where he had been committed five years earlier.
