Jimmy L. Robbins age 81 of Kendallville, IN died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Parkview Noble Hospital – Kendallville, IN. Jimmy was born May 30, 1937 in Mentone, IN to Ralph J. and Virginia (Leslie) Robbins. Jimmy married Shirley A. (Malott) on July 26, 1958 in Stroh, IN and she died February 26, 2007. He later married Martha Mapes on May 15, 2008 in Kendallville, IN.

Jimmy received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan and was a minister with Wesleyan Methodist Church’s, serving in many churches in the area , the last being in Wawaka, IN. He served in the Indiana National Guard following the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #86 in Kendallville, IN.

Jimmy is survived by his wife: Martha Robbins, Kendallville, IN; sons: Randy (Paula) Robbins, Kendallville, IN; Michael (Wendy) Robbins, Indianapolis, IN; daughter: Beth A. Lesley, Columbia City, IN; step son: Keith (Bridgett Sloan ) Mapes, LaGrange, IN.; Grandchildren: Randy L. Robbins, Noblesville, IN; Amanda Robbins, Indianapolis, IN; Christopher Robbins, Noblesville, IN; Joshua Robbins, Sheridan, IN; Amber Sroufe, Columbia City, IN; LaTasha Bryant, Wawaka, IN; great grandchildren: Noah Robbins, Jacob Robbins, Saya Robbins, Colton Robbins, Skye Sroufe, Jamison Rouch, Brock Bryant, Kyle Bryant, and Summer Bryant.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley A. Robbins; daughter: Kim Robbins and parents: Ralph and Virginia Robbins.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home- Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, IN with Pastor Ken Walker officiating.

Visitation will take place from 4-7 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery – Silver Lake, IN.

Military graveside services will take place

Memorials are to the American Heart Association.
