Leslie Vernon Higgins January 11, 1933 ~ November 03, 2018
Leslie Vernon Higgins, 85, of Dover, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of Ike and Fay Cox Higgins, he was born January 11, 1933 in Delaware. He was a Supervisor with Dunn/Edwards Paint Company. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed mechanics and drag racing. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida Lorene Higgins; his parents; a daughter, Sharyl Matthews; two brothers, Jack Higgins and Tommy Higgins and three sisters, Bobbie Ferris; Patsy Ann McKay and Curley Laster.



Leslie is survived by four children, Paul Higgins of Dover; Robert Higgins of Lucerne, CA; Elizabeth Johnson and Doreen Colantuono (Daniel) of Hesperia, CA; four stepchildren, Bob Nordin of Russellville; Jerry Towns of Morrilton; Linda Harlen of Pottsville; Carol Cossey of Russellville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ike Higgins Jr. of Blytheville; Johnny Higgins of Obine, TX; two sisters, Sharon Stanley of Ohio and Paulette Stanley of Conway.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Robert Heflin will officiate. Burial will be at North New Hope Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
