Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Reilly) Halloran.
Ann was a graduate of St. Xavier’s Academy and Rhode Island College of Education. She had been a teacher in the Warwick and Providence school systems for more than 28 years.
Ann was active in CFM and the Cursillo Movements and the Deaconate Program, as well as a leader of St. Peter’s Charismatic Prayer Group. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Ann was actively involved in the South Kingstown Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family in Narragansett.
She was the mother of Colleen (Kevin) McKenna, Michael Stone, Timothy Stone, Kathleen Morenzoni, Maureen (Gregory) Beck, Stephen (Anna) Stone, and John (Nancy) Stone; twenty grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Ann was the sister of Rev. Msgr. John Halloran, William and Edward Halloran; She was the mother of the late Kevin W. Stone and sister of the late Rev. Frederick J. Halloran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett. Visiting hours Thursday, November 8, from 4-8pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, South Kingstown. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence College, Kevin W. Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1 Cunningham Square, Providence, RI 02918.
