Mr. Alfred Lee Causey, age 58, of 4909 Hwy 120, Buchanan, GA, passed away August 26, 2010.
Mr. Causey was born June 9, 1952, in Tallapoosa, to the late John and Ruby Williams Causey, Jr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lem and Maggie Williams and John T. and Stella Mae Causey.
Mr. Causey owned a roofing company, was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army and loved Nascar #3, the intimidator, Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
Mr. Causey is survived by his wife, Sherry Cheatwood Causey of Buchanan; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rodney McClure of Bremen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brad and Kim Causey and Casey Robinson, all of Tallapoosa; four grandchildren, Allie McClure, Hollie McClure, Harley McClure and Tori Causey; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bill Benson, of Tallapoosa; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Cheyra Causey of Buchanan; and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2 PM from Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Ayers officiating. Music will be provided by Harold McWhorter and Jennifer Johnson.
Pallbearers serving will be Jason Thomas, Kevin Causey, Mickey Simpson, Chris Causey, Tony McAdams and Mitch Cheatwood.
Interment will follow in Providence Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by Haralson County Veterans Association. The dove release will conclude the service.
His family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
