OBITUARY
WILMA M. RICHARDS
Wilma M. Richards peacefully passed away November 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa. Wilma was born September 13, 1931 in Chariton, Iowa to Ray E. and Ruby Anderson.
Wilma met James "Art" Richards after he returned from serving in the Army during the war. They were married on January 18, 1947 in Indianola, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Sherry, John, Shirley, Joy and Jeffrey.
Wilma lived her whole life in Chariton where she was a loving wife and mother. She was proud to have grown up in Chariton's West End and attended the Franklin school. Wilma loved to travel and visit different places in the U.S. and Europe. She was an avid bridge player and played every week at the Senior Center. Wilma attended the Nazarene Church in Chariton.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Ray E. and Ruby (Smith) Anderson; husband, Art Richards; daughter, Sherry (Larry) Marker; and brother, Dean L. Anderson.
She leaves to mourn her passing: children, John (Patty) Richards, Shirley (Dwight) Winborn, Joy (Dwaine) Sellers, Jeff Richards; brother, Paul Anderson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.
