Nettie Christine Gibson died peacefully at home surrounded by her children and many grandchildren on Sunday, March 13, 2016. A graveside services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2 pm, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco, Texas.
Nettie Christine Gibson was born in Houston, Texas on July 20, 1943. She moved to Waco, Texas where she raised four children, Joe Ricky Mendoza, Sr. (deceased), Ruth Christine Giles, Sheryl Elaine Baker, Melissa Kay Gibson as well as an adopted grandson Joe Ricky Mendoza, Jr.
She is survived by two brothers, Albert Harley and Marvin Harley; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nettie worked at Owens-Illinois for 19 years before retiring.
