She was born on July 25, 1945 at Miami, Oklahoma to Raymond and Maggie (Melton) Harmon.

When Jill was young, her family moved to the Valeda, Kansas area where she grew up and attended Valeda Grade School. She later attended Labette County High School and graduated from Edna High School in 1963.

On September 23, 1965 she married Charles George Reed at Valeda. They were later divorced in 1988.

She was employed by U.S.D. #445 in Food Service for many years.
Jill enjoyed going to auctions, visiting the casinos, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and was a big Kansas City Royals fan, but her greatest joy was spending time with her sons.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Ray "Bobby" Reed and Charles "Chuck" Reed both of Coffeyville; and one brother, Thomas Harmon of Coffeyville.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jill's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating.
The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Lions Club; contributions may be left with or mailed in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
