Leafa attended Stringtown and Perrysville Schools, was a life resident of Fountain County and a farm wife. She was a member of Stringtown Church of God and Fountain Chapter OES, Kingman.
Leafa married Layman W. Mitchell September 20, 1941 at Covington and he died March 4, 1987. Surviving is a daughter Lou Ann (Tom) Gibson; daughter-in-law Kelly Mitchell; three grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Edgington, Andrew (Kylie) Mitchell, Trent (Britney) Mitchell; two great grandchildren; a brother Leon Abernathy and a sister Marlis Morgan.
She was also preceded in death by her son Mark, her parents, her sisters, Leah (twin), and Reva, and three brothers, Orville, Glay, and Lloyd.
