Windsor– Howard Dale Watson, 73, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Linda S. (Taylor) Watson to whom he was married for 33 years.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Full military honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
Born November 15, 1944 in Bel Air, MD; a son of the late David C. and Dorothy E. (Haga) Watson, he had worked at Health South Rehab and previously at Peach Bottom Power Plant. Howard was a member of American Legion Slate Ridge Post 182 in Whiteford, MD. Mr. Watson was a US Army veteran of The Vietnam War where he earned a Bronze Star.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Watson is survived by two sons, Shawn L. Kohlbus and Christopher M. Jones; a daughter, Lee Anne Johnson; five grandchildren; a brother, David Watson; and a sister, Pauline Snyder. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Watson; and a sister, Helen Lanius.
