Mrs. Sara (Swartley) Roth, 72, of Springfield, died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 1985, at Memorial Medical Center.
A Springfield resident since 1935, Mrs. Roth was born in Souderton, Pa., the daughter of Harry K. and Agnes Barndt Swartley.
She married Dr. William W. Roth in 1935.
Mrs. Roth was employed as a substitute teacher for the Springfield public schools for 10 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Dr. William W. Roth; three sons, David W. Roth, of New York city; the Rev. Richard P. Roth, of Louisville, N.C.; and Frederick W. Roth, of Eau Claire, Wis.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
