AIELLO
John A. Aiello, 34, of 809 Thirty-second avenue, Rock Island, died today in his home at 4:05 a.m., apparently of a heart attack.
The decedent was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Rathbun, Ia., where he was reared and educated. A resident of Rock Island the last 10 years, he was employed as a crane operator at Alcoa, Bettendorf.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He served with the Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Cathleen Christy, March 4th, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Steven Michael, at home; three sisters, Miss Tina of Rock Island, Miss Margaret of Centerville, Ia., and Mrs. Mary Gorman of Mystic, Ia., three brothers, Thomas Jr., of Rock Island, and Frank and James, both of Centerville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Aiello of Centerville; and his grandfather, Frank Valentine of Centerville.
Friends may call at the Hodgson Chapel from 7 p.m. today until 1 p.m. Saturday when the body will be removed to the Ray Watson funeral home, Mystic. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville, with burial in the cemetery there.
