Tammy Lynn Eells Terry was born on July 6, 1955 in Caldwell, Idaho and peacefully departed this life for the eternal home Jesus has prepared for her on October 31, 2018 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. The assurance of heaven made her able to face these last few years of health challenges with confidence and hope.
Tammy married her junior high sweetheart, David Terry, on March 8, 1975. Their love grew into a family of 15 over their 43 years together. They enjoyed traveling and having a houseful of friends and family for special occasions almost as much as they loved a regular weekday at the office together. Her greatest joy was her family – wife of David, mom to Erin and Darin, Dodie to her 9 beloved grandkids.
She had the gift of hospitality and no one was a stranger in her home. She served her family, friends and church so well by meeting their needs, welcoming and loving each one. She was an active member of the Rosston United Methodist Church and served in many ways over the years. She will be most missed there as the song leader as her beautiful voice carried the tune each week. Hosting Thanksgiving lunch for both sides of their extended family was a highlight of her year.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Raymond Eells, and her brother, Mark Eells. She is survived by her loving husband, David Terry, her dear mom, Rosalee Eells, her parents-in-law Mart and Joretta Terry, and sister Jan Love all of Laverne. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Erin Prince and their 5 children – Kate, Lauren, Jack, Hannah, and Sam; and by her son and daughter-in-law, Darin and Shannon Terry and their 4 children – Dakota, Makalyn, Holden and Hallie. She was also loved by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
