Dale Edward Coltharp of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 74.

Dale was born August 15, 1944 in Miami, OK to Leonard and Dora (Lee) Coltharp. He was a lifetime Miami resident, except for 13 years in Tuscaloosa, AL. He graduated from Commerce High School Class of 1962. He had worked for City Service Gas Company and then Uniroyal Goodrich in Miami and Tuscaloosa retiring in 1998. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Miami, OK.

Dale married Shelby (Culver) Coltharp on August 21, 1965 and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his son Corey Coltharp and wife Julie of Nixa, MO, his daughter Cynthia Eby and husband Tod of Miami, OK, 2 sisters Leah Stewart and husband Paul of Cherryvale, KS and Cathy Coltharp of Miami, OK, 2 grandchildren Alyssa Kelly and husband Nathan and Makenzie Eby, 3 great grandchildren Noah, Kreed and Haidyn Kelly.

Funeral Services will be Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Miami, OK. Pastor Brian Brubaker will officiate. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Kenneth Stewart, Larry Stewart, Bryan Smith, Wayne Wheeler, Chuck Clark and Ricky Rush will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Miami, OK.
