Elizabeth Ann Vaccaro, 87, of West Lampeter Twp., passed away at home on Monday, October 8, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Neptune City, NJ, she was one of twelve children born to the late Frank and Mary (Quigg) Dugan. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Henry J. Vaccaro M.D., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2009.

After graduation from St. Rose High School in Belmar, Elizabeth received her Certificate of Baby Nursing from the New York Foundling Hospital. Elizabeth was also known to many as: Betty, Nana and by her sisters as Liz. Betty was a loving wife and mother who devoted much of her time to her family and home. She had a strong will, a good heart and a great personality. She often reminded people that it was better to laugh than cry. Loved by everyone, she will be greatly missed. A devout Roman Catholic, Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary's Church in Lancaster, PA.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth and her husband Winfried Wieland of West Lampeter Twp., and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Julie, Leah and John Paul. Also surviving are two sisters, Janet Dunshee-Baldwin and Helen (Honey) Masco, and a brother, James Dugan and his wife Janice. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Murray, Mildred Wills, and Marion DeVito, and brothers, Frank (Buddy) Dugan, Lester Dugan, Jack Dugan, Albert Dugan, and her twin brother Robert Dugan.

The family will receive guests from 10 AM to 11 AM, which will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Saturday, November 10th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 119 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA, 17603, with Father Leo M. Goodman as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be offered to St. Mary's Church at the above address.
