Nancy Lee Howell 86, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on November 01, 2018 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Edna Baesch and brothers, Harold Baesch and Charles Baesch. Nancy was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1932 where she later met and married her adored late husband Russell Howell in 1950. Nancy and Russell lived in Baltimore until 1955 when they moved to Glen Burnie and lived in the same house until both had passed. Nancy was a life-long member of her much-loved St. John Lutheran Church in Brooklyn and honored as a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. For many years Nancy worked at Read's in Harundale Mall as a waitress until 1975. She loved working and had so many customers who would stand in line for a seat just to have Nancy wait on them. She was truly loved by so many. Nancy always enjoyed traveling, making ceramics in her younger years, and her every-Friday hair appointments! She looked forward to spending time with her family and friends during holidays. Her many trips to New York City, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ocean City for years were highlights in her life. Her favorite trips were to Hawaii and Panama Canal, and a special celebration cruise to the Caribbean with her husband and family. Surviving Nancy is her endeared family; her only son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Brenda Howell, grandchildren and spouses, Stacey and Christopher O'Neale, Michael and Megan Howell, and her special great-granddaughter, Madison O'Neale. Each being the center of her life every day. Nancy leaves behind an extended family of much-loved half-sisters, nephews, nieces and in-laws in Pennsylvania. The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., "1" 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie on Sunday, Nov. 4th, from 2-6. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
