Anna Mae Ford, 94, of Springfield, died at 11:23 am, Friday, November 2, 2018 at Heritage Health. She was born March 7, 1924 in Springfield to John E. and Catherine A. (Fitzpatrick) Fitzgerald. She married Robert L. Ford in 1948 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1988.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Barry) O’Neill of Columbia, MO; one son, Stephen P. Ford of Pawnee; three granddaughters, Julie (Russell) Hollenback, Jennifer (Josh Manning) Ford, Stephanie (David) Londrie and one grandson, Patrick (Tori) Ford; fifteen great grandchildren and several cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, John, James, William and Robert Fitzgerald and one sister, Helen Fitzgerald.

Anna Mae was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Sacred Heart Senior Citizens and the National Catholic Society of Forresters. She was an avid CUBS fan and enjoyed watching EWTN, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with a prayer service at 4 pm.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Jim Isaacson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
