While nothing is know about this John's Davis ancestors there is a lot that can be shared about him and his family. Note this information was provided to me by other researchers.

(As a special note I have many Davis relatives that did live in here in Greene & Fayette counties. Owen Davis 1725-1810 was the patriarch.)

John's wife was Tabitha Davis.

During the Revolution he served in Capt Wm Crawford's Company of Militia.

The will of John Davis of Greene Twp., Green Co. PA mentions

Dau. Mary Long $500
Dau. Hannah Lesley sic) $ 500
Dau. Elizabeth Morrison $1000
Dau. Sarah Morrison $1200
Sister Martha Davis $ 80
Sister Mary Emery $ 80
Son-in-Law James Morrison as executor

For a man, during the 1700s, to live for 98 years was certainly outstanding. Two hundred years later, with all of the medical advances, it is still unusual. John and those that were involved with his care did a lot of things right.

The following 5 generations of information is from a descendant of John & Tabitha's:

1. John and Tabitha Davis
2. Hannah Davis m. John Leslie
3. Tabitha Leslie m. William Gregg
4. Hannah Gregg m. John W. Beam of Butler Co, OH
5. Tabitha Beam
