Jennifer was a 1985 graduate of Churchland High School, a 1989 graduate of UVA, and a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech. After retiring as a principal planner for the City of Chesapeake Planning Dept., she discovered a love and talent for painting. Jennifer became a member of the Southside Artists Association and Nancy's Art Association.
She was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Chesapeake.
She is preceded in death by her father, George M. Sunnucks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gene White; her son, Jackson White; her mother, Karen Sunnucks; two sisters, Michelle McLees and her husband Andy Tucker and Emily Sunnucks; a sister in-law, Leslie Beck and husband Chris; and host of extended family and friends.
Her strength, love and determination earned the admiration of many. She will be loved forever and greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in St. Stephen Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 1544 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake 23322. Following the memorial, there will be a reception held at the church. Burial will be private in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation on the following website http://vahemophilia.org/get-involved/donate-now.
