Phyllis Marie Lawson of Kansas City, Kansas died on December 3, 2014 in Liberty, Missouri.
Phyllis was born on February 29, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to the late Willie J. Lawson, Sr. and Dorothy M. Lawson.
Phyllis was truly a child of God!! She was born with a developmental disability and lived at home with her family throughout adulthood. She was happy and secure. As the daughter of a career soldier, she traveled the world many times. She also lived in Texas, Virginia, Missouri, California, and Germany for 6 years. She loved to sing with her siblings!! She loved drawing, coloring, dancing, and her ”Purse”!!
She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, niece, and cousins, as well.
She is survived by sisters, Beverly A. McGlory (Eugene) of Stillwater; Malyne E. Lyons of Bloomington, CA; Vera Baines (Mickel) of San Bernardino, CA; brother, Willie J. Lawson, Jr. (Sonya) of Perkins; niece, Saunta D. Lyons of Bloomington, CA; nephews, Brandon J. Lawson, Jalon J. Lawson, and Ayron J. Lawson of Perkins; Aunt, Richie L. Brooks of Perkins; and a host of relatives and friends.
