Jean M. Jordan, 101, Mandan, died November 2, 2018, at Sunset Drive ­Prospera Community, Mandan.

Jean was born September 5, 1917, on the family homestead in Garrison, ND, to Ernie and Maria (Conklin) Miller. She was raised and educated in Garrison, graduating from Garrison High School. Jean went on to attend Capital Commercial College in Bismarck where she met Charles L. Jordan at a dance. They were married on December 16, 1940. They lived on many Army posts while Charles was in the service until he was deployed to France. Upon Charles’ discharge, they returned to North Dakota. Jean was a loving mother of eight children and devoted her life to her family. A highlight in her life was traveling, especially her trips with her sons to England and revisiting past army posts. Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church, Church Circles, Mandan Art Association, Elks, Military Officers Wives, Telephone Pioneers, and P.E.O.

Blessed to have shared in her life are her eight children, Patrick (Cecilia) Jordan, Boise, ID, Michael (Sarah) Jordan, White Bear Lake, MN, Connie (Jim) Blomberg, Minot, ND, Kelly Danz, Sioux Falls, SD, Donna (Terry) Claver, Stanford, MT, Casey Jordan, Houston, TX, Jeffry (Susan) Jordan, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Jamie (Todd) Brummond, Monument, CO and 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Vicky Lippert.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles, in 1990; brothers, Winfield and Ralph; her twin brother, Neal; and two sisters, Gay and Mary Lou.
