On Thursday November 1, 2018, Joshua Scott Watkins, Loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Father of two beautiful children, peacefully closed his eyes, at the age of 38, surrounded by his family.
Joshua was born on March 5, 1980, in Shawnee, Oklahoma and was a life long resident of the Prague and Paden area. He currently resided in Paden with is mother Debbie. He worked as a derrick hand with his Uncle Mark Collins at Collins Production, LLC.
Joshua had a heart that was made of gold. He had an amazing smile mixed with a quirky laugh. He was pure and simple and his personality was larger than life. He was a jokester and had a love for sweets. He was easy going, head strong and was a very hard worker.
Joshua had a passion for music and recently started playing the guitar. He had a love for horror movies, four-wheelers, racing motorcycles, fishing with the guys, staying home with his dog Wally. He loved his family and friends but most of all he loved his children Cody and Shelby. Joshua's children are what kept him on his toes. He had a strong bond with his son and his daughter was his shadow.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Debbie Simpson; father and step-mother, Scott and Sonya Watkins; children, Cody Knapp and Shelby Watkins; sister, Jessica Watkins; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kelly Watkins; aunts and uncles Mark and Cindy Collins, Jimmy and Carol Simpson, Darla Simpson and Chanda Jones, Trenna Wright, Susan and Gary Beck, Glenda and David Carver and Debra nd Mark McCoy and numerous cousins, family and friends.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents Grace Simpson Jones, Jim Simpson Winford Collins, Byron and Doris Watkins.
Joshua's family will welcome friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Paden First Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
