Frances Mae Price Houston, age 91, died Thursday at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Wayne County, NC to the late Major and Minnie Renfroe Price and was married to the late Earl Samuel Houston. She was a member of Dudley Christian Church.
A Graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm with Mr. Rudy Peedin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
Mrs. Houston is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and William Rackley of Dudley; four step-grandchildren, Stacey Barnes, Dan Rackley, Jennifer Rackley and Donna Humber; several step-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, M.B. and Edna Price; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and William Britt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Brogden United Methodist Church, 2918 US Hwy 117, Dudley NC 28333; or to Alzheimer's Association of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
