Larry L. Warner, Sr., 71, of Carlisle, entered into his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on January 8, 1945 in Carlisle, and was a son of the late Ottomer E. and Ethel I. (Brickner) Warner.
Larry graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the Class of 1962. He retired after 20 years of owning and operating his own home building and remodeling business in Carlisle. He attended Carlisle Evangelical Free Church. Larry was the founder of the New Beginnings Loft for Youth on the Petersburg Road, Carlisle. Larry enjoyed snowmobile and motorcycle racing for over 45 years. He was a Cushman Scooter enthusiast and he enjoyed antique cars, hunting and anything unique.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Jonietta E. (Hinkle) Warner, two sons; Larry L. "Zeek" (and his wife, Anna) Warner, Jr. of Carlisle and Kyle M. (and his wife, Joelle) Warner of Kane, PA, one daughter, Danielle L. Gray (and her husband, Jeremy) of Boiling Springs, one foster son, Samuel (and his wife, Janelle) Graham of Nashville and three grandchildren; Glen Warner, Amelia Gray and Wyatt Gray.
A viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Rd, Carlisle, with Pastor Shad Baker officiating. Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle. Immediately following the burial a time of fellowship will be held at the church. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the "Kids Cove" at the church.
