Mrs. Minnie Faye Williams Cook, 78, of Gore Springs, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Bruce Community Living Center. She was born April 1, 1940 to George Marshall and Myrtle Tunberg Williams. She was a devoted homemaker and had previously worked as a beautician and at Pennaco Hosiery. She enjoyed fishing and riding four-wheelers. Faye was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Franklin Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellzey Cemetery near Vardaman. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Cook; one daughter, Cheryl Latham of Kilmichael; two sons, John Cook of Gore Springs and Chris Cook of Pearl; one sister, Mildred Hatcher of Jackson; one brother, Charles Ray Williams of Grenada; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth James, Mary Woods and Geneva Sims; and four brothers, Ervin, George, Robert and Eli Williams.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cook, John Cook, Jonathan Cook, Tyler Cook, Adam Latham, Corey Latham and Jeremy Latham.
